Martha Freud x Wilder Botanics Workshop

  • Bull Burford 105 High Street Burford, England, OX18 4QR United Kingdom (map)

Join us for an all-day workshop with Wilder Botanics and the artist Martha Freud. The day will explore the healing power of plants, where to find them, and how to make your own tinctures, teas, and oils. This will be followed by a ceramics workshop with Martha to create vessels to enjoy your foraged tea.

ABOUT THE EVENT

May brings a bounty to the natural world, as the hedgerows teem with early summer flora and fauna.

You will start the day with a coffee/tea at Bull before venturing out for a stroll through the hedgerows and wild areas guided by Rachel and Charlie from Wilder Botanicals Together, you'll gather the essentials for crafting healing balms and teas, while delving into the properties and uses of herbs such as daisy, plantain, nettle, and more.

Under the expert guidance of Rachel and Charlie, you'll then create:

  • Daisy Oil for bruises

  • Nettle Vinegar

  • Fresh tea using our harvested herbs, and you can even take some home to dry

  • Healing Balm, with Charlie demonstrating the process on his camping stove, highlighting the benefits of each herb.

After a Bull lunch in The Priory Orchard, Martha will lead a workshop where you'll craft a vessel or teapot to enjoy your foraged tea. Use Freud's stamps for witty aphorisms or press the clay with collected plants for a natural touch. Freud's team will then glaze and fire your pieces, sending them to your preferred address.

This all-day event includes a guided walk, Wilder Botanics workshop, lunch, Martha Freud's workshop, and delivery of your personalised vessel.

Tickets from £250/pp
